SINCE 1964
OUR HISTORY
The Auxiliary of the Carlisle Fire Company was established on March 24, 1964, when nine dedicated women gathered for the first meeting and officially formed the Ladies Auxiliary of the Carlisle Fire Company.
Over the years, our membership has grown, reaching over 40 active members as of January 2025. On April 16, 2019, we proudly updated our name to reflect our inclusive mission—welcoming both women and men who are committed to supporting our fire company and community.
PURPOSE
Auxiliary Mission
The mission of the Auxiliary of Carlisle Fire Company is to provide vital support to the Carlisle Fire Company. We organize and coordinate the efforts of our members to assist during emergencies, contribute to fire company activities, and engage in meaningful service that strengthens both our department and our community.
WHAT WE DO
OUR GOALS
Our primary goal is to raise funds and provide resources that help the Carlisle Fire Company continue to serve the citizens of the Kent and Sussex fire districts with excellence.
We accomplish this through a variety of fundraising events and community outreach efforts, all designed to support the purchase of essential equipment, gear, and other critical needs for our firefighters.
GOAL
Fundraising to Support Our Fire Company
Our fundraising efforts provide us the ability to assist with the fire companies’ ability to purchase needed equipment such as fire gear, new apparatus, tools and anything else needed to keep our community safe.
Community Engagement
We strive to provide our community with fire safety education, participating in community events, and building relationships with local businesses to increase the awareness and support of our fire company. Our membership is focused on communicating important information and promoting our organizations activities. We are always looking for volunteers to join our auxiliary who have the same mindset in supporting the fire company.
